About us

Our Philosophy

Outreach Cardiac Skills has been established by experts in the field of echocardiography. We work in rural and remote Australia and have an understanding of the health issues and resource challenges that practitioners face on a daily basis.

Our Specialists

Our team is passionate about bringing practical and relevant education to where it is needed.

Initially training in myocardial perfusion scans at Oxford University Hospital Trust in the UK, Anthony began echo training in Perth in 2012, completing the graduate diploma in cardiac sonography. A strong passion for rural and Indigenous health as well as valvular pathology drew Anthony to the Kimberley, where he was the sole echocardiographer for the region for a number of years. Now back in Perth with his partner and young son, Anthony has taken up a senior University lecturer position with CQ University for the graduate diploma of echocardiography where he maintains the same passion for rural health and education.

James has been a strong advocate for continually improving post-graduate education and in 2017 he was awarded the PMCWA Clinical Educator of the Year.
